For many music fans, she is best known for her two early 1980s albums, which included session superstars like longtime friend Patrice Rushen, Jerry Hey, Larry Williams, John Robinson, Paul Jackson Jr., Syreeta, Gerald Albright, and Steve Khan, among others. Her more than 100 compositions include Rushen’s classic, “Haven’t You Heard.” Recently, she released her wonderful new album, Messages From the Soul . . . the Power of Music.
